Sol is an abstract time trial for Mirror's Edge.

Instead of using the assets from the Pure Time Trial DLC that DICE themselves created, I decided to branch out and use the city assets.
The first problem I encountered was the collision of the trees, they were essentially cubes around the entire mesh, so I had to turn them off so players wouldn't get stuck. I then added my own collision for them in the form of invisible barrels, not an elegant fix, but a necessary one.

Anti Gravity is an abstract time trial for Mirror's Edge with a gravity defying gimmick.

Anti Gravity is more reminiscent of DICEs official DLC for the game.
With Anti Gravity I wanted to see if I could make a map with a gimmick of some kind. Looking through all the different types of volumes, I came across the gravity volume. While the player was inside this volume, they would inheret the gravity value of the volume.
I gave this parameter a negative value so the player would fly upwards thus creating the gimmick for my map.

Void is a dark themed abstract time trial for Mirror's Edge.

Void is one of my longer Time Trials that takes on average of 2:30 minutes to run.
I initially had coloured the glowing cubes orange and blue, but later decided to go for a monochrome style, almost like the map takes place in outer space.
The map contains very little audio and I even included a hudless version for player to run if they so choose.

Twilight is a city time trial for Mirror's Edge with 3 different routes, and an optional custom rain effect.

Twilight is my first attempt at creating a city time trial from scratch.
In order to create the custom rain effect, I used a water dripping particle emmiter from chapter 2. I modified it's scale, offset and height so it would constantly be falling without any pauses.
Then using kismet I had it teleport to the player every 0.1 seconds and voila, a basic rain effect. In total there are 376 emmiters.
Unfortunately the rain effect doesn't collide with objects so it will pass straight through them, but the map is mostly outdoors.

5. Back to step 2 (this creates a loop so that the players position is always updating)
Loop ends when Race Finishes (player reaches final checkpoint or restarts)

Luna is a Coastal Forest Time Trial for Mirror's Edge very similar to Sol.

Luna is very similiar to Sol in style, but will also feature custom assets in the form of textures like a full moon and changes to existing textures in the game, like mountains and water.
